Your body is not the problem. It is the solution.
TCTSY is a clinically validated intervention for complex trauma, PTSD, and C-PTSD. It is not performance yoga. It is an inner journey — guided by your body, at your own pace.

Giorgia Teofilo :
Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator
The Method: TCTSY (Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga)
TCTSY is a scientifically validated clinical intervention for complex trauma, developmental trauma, or chronic, treatment-resistant Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
The focus of TCTSY practice is the inner journey of the participant, not the execution of physical form. This approach is grounded in the principles of Trauma Theory and Hatha Yoga, with an emphasis on body-based yoga asana.
The Five Fundamental Elements of TCTSY Practice:
1. Invitational Language
2. Choice (Choice-Making)
3. Interoception (perceiving internal sensations)
4. Shared Authentic Experience
5. Non-Coercion
This method helps to restore the connection between mind and body and to cultivate a sense of subjective awareness (the feeling of being the author of one’s own choices) which is often compromised by trauma. With TCTSY, the power always lies with the individual, not the facilitator.

Holistic Approach
It is important to note that the TCTSY practice focuses on exploring movement and "feeling the body" (interoception).
●To support the cognitive and verbal processing of trauma, it is recommended that yoga participants also engage in broader therapeutic approaches that support the cognitive and verbal processing of trauma (such as psychotherapy, conversations with reference figures, or support groups).
